Events of the day....

Morning came early again when our pager went off before 6:00am. We quickly got to the phone and spoke with Dr. Badden and he informed us that Connor had had a pretty fretful night. He lost his IV access and they had to put another IV in his head. His breathing was pretty rapid as well in the early morning hours and he dropped his oxygen level down into the 20's. They found on X-ray early this morning that his right lung had collapsed and it was then that they made the decision to put the breathing tube in and give him a break. He is now on the ventulator and completely sedated. They had to send him into Interventional Radiology today as well to have a PIC line inserted. This is basically a central line for all of his iv's and medicine and additional fluids, if required.

Once again, Little Bug is one sick little guy. He needs our continued prayers for his healing. We should find out either tomorrow or Monday when he will be scheduled for surgery. Sorry for the quick post of just the facts, but quite frankly, it's all I have in me at the moment. Thanks for all your encouragement and love!!!!

Lovebug Hugs,
Randy, Lori and Little Bug

God the why's seem to be piling up. What we see in the natural leaves us dubious and uncertain of your plan, but I am reminded of the prophet Habakuk in the 3rd chapter... that though the enemies may rise up against us/we yet will I praise you. We know that we must see the unseen so we can live out the hope you have deposited into us through your Son, Jesus. God thank you for the intercessors that stand in the gap. You are Jehovah Jirah, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Nissi and so much more. Thank you that you are working 24/7, that you never rest and that you are the Blessed Controller.

Randy & Lori - I sensed such a spirit of heaviness and discouragement as I passed by your house yesterday. Oh, how you must be at an all-time low. I was so disturbed as I continued on home - you are constantly on my mind and in my prayers. It feels like this is just more than you can bear - but God is very near and personal. Only He can minister to the needs of your hearts. He has not forgotten you and your words have not fallen on deaf ears. Keep calling on Him and crying out to Him - He is our only hope. The rest of us will continue to do so on your behalf as sometimes I'm sure you feel that all the words you could possibly say have been brought before Him. .... Keep holding onto each other, don't retreat inside yourself. You need each other in a deep and vulnerable way. You are going to come out the other side of this whole experience as pure gold - refined in the fire. The Lord is pleased as you continue to honor Him. To Him be all honor and praise.
In His Love, Rhonda

Randy and Lori-
I know that God will shelter Connor and keep him at peace right now as he is resting. We have been praying and will continue to pray for healing for his little body... and for peace for Mommy and Daddy.
Keep holding on to His promises, they are new every morning!

Hi Lori
I have been out of state for a week and quite shocked to come back and hear all of this. I am so sorry and will continue to pray, this seems so wrong! It is hard to understand why your family has to go through all of this. "Lord we ask again for a miracle for Connor and for strength for his mommy and daddy. Take away all of his pain and heal his lungs. Give the doctors such insight when this surgery takes place. We need you Lord and thankyou for your presence resting on this incredible family today."
