This morning at 6:42 the phone rang in my sleeping room and the nurse proceeded to tell me that Little Bug had been having some major episodes of aggitation for the past 2 hours. Before I went to sleep I firmly instructed the nursing staff that if he were to get aggitated they were to call me to come help get him calmed down before giving extra drugs.....THIS DID NOT HAPPEN!!!! With great frustration I report that he had 2 extra doses each of morphine and adivan and 1 dose of the paralyzing drug, vecuronium. Needless to say there has been no attempt at this moment in the day to even think about trying to extibate. I don't know what the rest of the day will hold, but I will keep you posted.

Just read the latest update and my heart aches for all of you. He is in God's hands and so many people are praying for him, we can only hope for the best and will keep a close eye onf all the next updates for nothing but GOOD NEWS. Im so sorry to hear that they didnt listen, but Im not suprised... Reading your two last blogs made me remember so much about Skys stay. I know the frustration you are feeling... I pray that he can remain calm and rested with out extra drugs, and hopefully he will be able to have a good shot at getting off that vent today. Hang in there Lori, hug and kiss bug for me. I am sorry to hear that someone did not follow the directions. How frusterating that must be when you are dealing with so many variables. We will continue to pray for the Lord's timing and wisdom and good work from the medical teams invovled.

I hope that maybe you and Randy can go outside today and go on a walk together - it is going to be beautiful out!
I am so sorry for your added frustrations. Maybe it was Connor's way of saying I just need one more day Mom and Dad and then things will be better. I know you were both so anxious to get the vent out, I'm sorry its not happening as you planned or thought. Only God knows why this is happening so we will all just continue our prayers for the 3 of you. Maybe a little walk outside to soak in some fresh air and sunshine will help you get through the day.

I pray that Little Bug remains calm and has a restful day...please if you feel up to it step outside and enjoy the fall sunshine along with the beautiful leaves.....it is breathe taking....
