Decision has been made.....

Well, they have decided to hold off on Little Bug's surgery next week. The surgeons and docs want him to be further away from whatever sickness he has had over this past week. They will consider putting him on the schedule for the week of the 21st or the 28th, but as of the moment, nothing is scheduled. It will all depend on how Connor does to see if we will remain in the ICU for a longer period of time or if they will try to make room for us on the floor maybe next week. I know that our thought is that if we have to wait for surgery, we'd rather wait at home, but for now, there is no word on how long we will be here.

This was certainly not the news we were hoping for, but we have to trust the decision that was made and hope that it is in Connor's best intrest. How we wish to be free from this hospital and home and healthy. Oh Lord, give us increased strength and patience for this journey we are traveling!!!

Lovebug Hugs,
Lori

I dont know what to say Lori, I know your disapointed.... But its in the best intrest and care for little bug, the week of the 21st isnt that far off, maybe all he needs is a little more time to get better, and who knows they might let you guys wait it out at home!!!! Happy thought :) Hang in there, love ya Sheila

My Sweet Friend,
I know that news must have felt like another discouraging drop. I have to trust that the Lord did this to save Connor from an untimely danger. I'll pray that you can go home for a bit of the time at least.

Lovingly, Jacqueline

Lori and Randy,

As I was reading in my book, Calm My Anxious Heart, I found these words. "We survive the packages of pain God allows in our lives by remembering who God is and what He has done in the past. When "If Onlys" invade the mind Psalms 77 has words that begin pain-drenched and end in praise: "My soul refused to be comforted. I remembered you, O God, and I groaned;....I was too troubled to speak. Has your unfailing love vanished forever? Has your promise failed for all time? Has God forgotten to be merciful?...I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember his miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples." Lord may we accept your will for in acceptance we trust and when we trust we have peace. Lord wrap your arms around this family of four. May they find rest in the shadow of your wings, so when take-off occurs their strength will be renewed and they will soar.

I'm sorry also that you didn't get the news you were hoping for, maybe the next couple weeks will make him stronger and more ready for surgery. I loved seeing Connors's chubby little arms and cheeks. He's gaining weight, that's awesome!! Hang in there and hope to see you soon.
Your Friend, Susie.

Hi to the Robertson family,

Just to remind you that you are all being thought of and being lifted up to the Lord in prayer! Little Abbie puts Connor into her "God Blesses" every night (without Mama reminders). My small group has also been praying for Connor and for your family.

Sincerely,

Kristine and Abbie Sorensen

Lori & Randy,

Kid's & I just said our nightly prayers. Connor was at top of the list of course. I know we were all hoping for surgery next week but like Jacqueline said the Lord knows best & has his timing. Praying he gets, stronger & even a bit bigger for the day of surgery. On that day we will be with you waiting for Little bug to come out & greet us!

By the way Randy I love that pic of you strumming the guitar for Little bug! Sweet.

Connor, You know what's funny....I now say to the kid's after tucking in bed.... "Goodnite sleeptight don't let the bedBUGS bite" & jake's response was "You mean like Connor? I guess anytime we say "bug" now he associates with you!! See how much we think of you! All the time. Love you!!!!
If you guys need anything let us know. We're only a phonecall away.

Love & prayers, Teresa

Lori, I talked to Diane and said you bought the book. I look forward to hearing about the truths you glean and encouragement you receive. (You beat me to it, that was suppose to be my gift to you - I hope the referral is enough). Hugs, Shawn Z

We will pray that things will go quickly and smoothly and that the Lord will give you a lot of patience. How tough it must be waiting all the time. I will pray that Connor will be in good spirits and in good health to help make the time pass with lots of loves and hugs! I have to say that the photos you last sent are sooo adorable, he is REALLY CUTE! You look beautiful and We will also pray for the nausea to stop. Have your tried Ginger root? Just think how fast this pregnancy will fly bye - UFDAH as your mom would say. LOL

Lori, Randy & Connor:
G'day! How my heart aches for all of you! Does it help to know that there are so many others that are feeling your pain, and carrying your burdens with you? I pray so. When I was on vacation last week, I visited a church. The pastor spoke in his sermon about growing through troubling trials and circumstances. God will help us to grow by helping us do 3 three things: receiving His peace, trying to see things through His eyes, and speaking His truth (out loud)- for example: Psalm 29:11 "The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His peoople with peace". or Psalm 31:23 "For the Lord preserves the faithful" or Psalm 32:10 " He who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him". God's Word is powerful. My prayer for you is that God will bring his powerful and active Word alive to you, like a gift that is dropped into your spirits!!! I love you. May God give you what you need for today!
Love,
Karin
