Finally, Back Online.....

Sorry for the many days of not posting. The hopital computer system has been down since last Friday and we were not able to connect to the internet. We are back online now and we have much to report. I will actually take more time to do a more detailed blog later this evening, but for now, just the facts.

Little Bug had a great weekend, so great that he bought himself a ticket right out of the ICU on Memorial Day. We were moved to the floor and so now we have a private room on the 4th floor surgical unit and we are enjoying some quiet time as a family. We are still awaiting the plan as far as duration here in the hospital and what is next for Connor. Another piece of big news is that Little Bug made it to 9lbs 11.1 ounces!!!!!! YIPPEE, he's finally growing and back on fortified breast milk for the time being.

Connor's had more visitors over the long weekend as well. Cousin Derek stopped by with his mom, Auntie Maureen before they left for their annual Lake Parrygian camping trip. Thanks for the bear Derek and the Mariner's socks were great.....Connor can't wait to grow into them. Uncle Bryan, Auntie Heather and cousins, Olivia, Brayden and Bergen stopped by on Saturday and we had a lot of fun eating pizza and brownies...Thanks guys the visit was great!! On Sunday Grandpa and Grandma M. stopped in and brought homemade Rhubarb Rumble ( a Milliren Memorial Day Treat...Yummy!!! Thanks Mom!!) and when they saw Connor they could tell that he was getting bigger. Mom said, "Wow, look at his hands, they've doubled in size!!" I think that's a bit extreme, but who knows, maybe they have???? Yesterday we enjoyed a surprise visit from family friends Norris and Phyllis Norwood. They got to hold Little Bug and experience him on a very good day.....actually it was moving day for us so it was a great day!!! Thanks for the great lunch away from the hospital, we appreciate you Norris and Phyllis.

Please pray for Dad R. he went to the ER in Bellingham on Sunday evening as he wasn't feeling well. He will be released today (Tuesday) and we understand he is doing much better. I will write more later on, but I had to get to the computer and give all our wonderful and faithful bloggers an update!!!!

All our lovebug hugs,
Randy, Lori and Little Bug

Randy and Lori,
That is GREAT news, being out of ICU. I'm sure being able to capture some moments of privacy for the three of you is such a breath of fresh air.
I just love you guys so much and as you know we think of you and pray for you always. We can't wait to see how BIG our precious little bug is getting.
God is always faithful.

Love, Jacqueline

Wow! What awesome news! God is sooo good. I'll have to admit I was wondering where you all were the last couple of days. Lori, thanks for being so faithful with your updates so we know how exactly to pray for Connor. We will continue to pray for more weight gain and continued healing on his little bug body! Looking forward to the report of when you get to take that little bug home!
Love, Sue & family

PRAISE THE LORD!!! Wow! How exciting! God is so good! I know that's a lot of exclamation points in a row, but I think this news deserves them. Another day of treasures. It seems like it's been a long time since you've seen a "treasure" day, but when they come, they sure come in a big way. :)

Lauren and Brennan will be so excited to hear how well he is doing.

We love you so!

Connor,
GOOD BOY! You really are strong you know. I am soooo proud of you. Keep up the good work. I know it's hard some days, but you keep it up. :)
I love you!

I am so glad you are basking in good news! I am also glad you are back online. Updates on Little Bug and family have become a part of my daily routine, and I feel like something is missing when there isn't a new one.
Praying for continued weight gain in Georgia! Love, Leslie

Lori and Randy, I am so excited! I admit I was getting worried when I didn't see any updates on Connor! Congratulations on moving! The 4th floor is great. Good care and it feels like a luxury hotel compared to he ICU. If you see nurse Anne, say hi! She is of our special favorites. I sometimes stop off at the 4th floor looking for her. Maybe I will see you if I do. Brent and I will be at the hospital today.

What a relief that bug is improving and growing. It's bittersweet isn't it? Mamas want to see their little ones healthy and growing but then are sad to see that they will never be that small again. Some of the nurses commented last week on how much our little Brent has grown and that he is not a little baby anymore. I didn't want to hear that and I did want to hear that! I thought about that when I heard that little bug (and his hands) have grown so much!

We will give thanks to God for his progress and we know that little bug still needs prayer.

Hip, hip hooray! Connor's on his way. . .to continued healing!

I am so happy to hear that you are on the surgical floor in a private room. Finally! I will pray that Connor continues to improve so that you can make your way to the Whale parking garage and south on Sandpoint Way. Won't that be a special day!?!

Thank you for letting me snuggle with Connor. It was so fun to sing to him and stroke his little cheeks. How he has grown! And, praise the Lord for continued weight gain. Lori, hang in there with the feeding situation. I am praying that Connor will continue to benefit from God's perfectly designed breastmilk.

Randy, you sure worked up Olivia and Brayden on Saturday night. I couldn't believe how hot they were, but it did the trick and they fell asleep on the ride home.

I am praying for the three of you everyday. I will add Grandpa R. to our list as well. And, of course, my prayers are with Pastor Doug too. He is a special man of God who really needs a healing touch.

Love to you all on this beautiful morning,

Auntie Heather

Great news!! We had been getting worried after not hearing anything for a few days. I was hoping it was good news and you'd just been to busy to blog. I'll just say "amen!" to all that's been said and add your pastor and dad to our prayers. We love you all.
Keep up the Good work Connor!!
