Lori, What an inspiring song. Enough to fill the eyes with tears. And your faith and patient endurance is very inspiring and is touching lives near and far.
I can't help but believe that you will come out of this trial as a diamond, glittering with God's glory.
And you are bringing glory to the Lord as you trusting him in this long, painful trial you have gone through. Like Abraham waiting for his son to be conceived, you are in hope, against hope, believing God. How can the Father's pleasure not shine down upon you. You don't see the answer but you persevere.
I bet soon your pain and frustration will be a thing of the past and fade from the present. Isaiah 65:16 "For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes".
Who knows, perhaps Connor is experiencing the pain of recovering from surgery and soon will be over it? But God knows and with him nothing is impossible. God is listening to your cries:
Luke 18:7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
My heart breaks for you! I intercede again on your behalf. I can't begin to imagine what you're going through. It's so hard to understand why God allows struggles in our lives.
They say that heat brings the brilliance to precious metal. God uses the trials in our lives, so that we can reflect his image. Your light is shining brightly.
Joy comes in the morning, but when does morning come? I pray that it will be soon! We know that God's grace is sufficient, so we pray for lots of grace on your journey.
Honey....I was able to read the blog and listen to the song!
My heartand whole being has been moved. I have felt the same way many times. Honey we have to lock arms and battle through, closing our eyes and boldly walk down this path knowing God is holding our hands. I know it seems scary "most of the time" but we cannot lose hope in the one "who is our hope". Remember our hearts we cried over and the verse we put in Connors little treasure chest before he went into surgery....well that may as well be for us now...."because he gives me (us) strengh".
Lori the Lord sees our tears in secret...he knows the times we lay our heads down and the tears stream down our face...he sees them, I think he even feels them. But we have to trust that our heavenly father also sees the future and has planned for us a hope. So do not dispare Honey God is on our side.
And I hope to be home soon! Honey I love you. Once again you have reminded me "why I married you"...not just because you are a beautiful, loving, kind, sincere woman...but because you love God!
All my love forever...your husband...Randy
ps Honey I'm in Kuwait today and supposedly headed back to Germay? I'll give you a call when I get in ok...give Littlebug a hug and kiss from Daddy.
My Dearest Lori, How I feel your despair and frustration but your faith in our LORD out shines all. Once again through this hard path GOD has inspired you and shown you HE is in control. You, Randy, and precious little Conner are in my prayers because GOD is GOOD!!! Ofelia Ayala
Lori, Thank you so much for the reminder of where our (my) help comes from. God does see. God does hear. God does feel. And God does "move" on our behalf!
Lori, Randy and Little Bug, God knows all. His word says he will never give us more to bear then we can take . He is a God that expects us to trust him but he does not expect us to always understand every situation. Keep on trusting and keep praising him for his work in little bugs life . God Bless
I have to say you are an amazing, strong, powerful woman. Its so moving to read your blogs everyday-and your truth and honesty are such a blessing! We are thinking of you guys and praying for you! And CONGRATS! i hear you are pregnant again....Looks like our babies will be close together! My due date is April 11th! I love you! Michelle (johnston) Harrison
Thank you for sharing that song. It spoke to me. You are such a blessing...Even in the darkest hour or when we are high on the mountain top we can be sure of where our strength comes from. Praise the Lord for that. We are praying for you. We love you guys. Give Connor a big hug & smootch from Auntie Teresa
Take care of yourselves & wee bug too.
We want to come down to see you guys & Connor but let us know when timing would be best.
Lori, Randy and Conner... The song is so perfect, it really touched my life too. Lori, things are tough right now, reach out for help, let me know if I can do anything. You have so much in life to praise God for. Conner is home, he knows your love, it isn't going to be easy, but God chose you, he knows you can make it. Remember that special poem: "The Chosen One" "I had a dream the other night It came to me so clear. I stood before the throne of God, afraid to come too near. God said to me, I hear your prayers, there you can't find. I asked you here to talk to me and help to ease your mind. I said well yes God, I am upset about my special one that punishment is awfully harsh. Whatever have I done? God looked at me and shook his head and said you've got it wrong. I sent this special child to you because you are so strong. I searched and searched to try and find someone with love so rare, a parent so unselfish they could only give that special care. I try and save my special gifts like those you're speaking of, for special kinds of parents I call the "Chosen Ones," of all the ones to choose from I think this I have done, a parent who deserves my best, an honor you have Won!"
We love you! I pray for you to have strength... Tammee
Lori How awesome it is to be able to sit and listen to a song in the car while you are all alone. God's timing is so perfect and it is cool to see how He sends just the little messages even to let us know that He sees our every hurt. We will keep praying for this pain that Connor is experiencing and for peace in your home. Love Tammy
A friend gave me a book titled "My Hands In His" by Virginia Deferia. In the book is this prayer that I thought may uplift you in this trying time. God bless you all..
Good Morning, Lord!
I feel Your presence, my Lord, in everything I do. I need Your guidance, Lord, on things that confuse me so. I sense You, my God, when I am down and depressed. You mend my heart until it is strong and refreshed.
Oh, how You bless me, my Lord! My life is strong with You! Before my future looked bleak. Now it holds Your truth so true!
You continue to hold my hand whenever I stumble and fall. You put laughter in my heart and gaiety in my soul.
I thank You, my Lord, my God for answering my needs. Days are complete in every way; my life is no longer weak. I always hear Your message. In Your blessings I am healed. You are the giver of Life - with You I am so blessed.
Thank You, my Lord, my God! In life, You're all that I need!
Hi Lori I just wanted to let you know that Connor came to my mind this evening randomly while we were with our 4 kids and I just felt compelled to lift up a prayer for him. I hope all is going much better and please know that we will not forget to fight this fight with you and Randy. Hey, let me know if you are ever up to a visitor at your home and I could maybe come up some afternoon if that works for you. I am typically up in the area on Thursdays and Tuesdays. Love' Tammy
