On the move again!!!!

Over the weekend, Connor had a couple of positive days. No fevers to speak of so that was a definite victory!!! Way to go Connor!!!!! Today we were on the move again. Yes, that's right, room number 11 for us here at Children's. We at least have a nice window view and that reminds us that there is a world outside of these walls. It's nice to see the wind blowing through the trees and the sunshine and blue skies are welcome vistors in our room.

It looked like Little Bug was going to have a good day today, but it ends up he is doing another breathing "thing" that has the docs worried again. Apparently, it looks like he's gasping for breaths and his airway is tight. We're not quite sure what the ramifications are to this, but it forced him back on the c-pap this afternoon. The steroids have been in his system for 24 hours now so it will be interesting to see what the X-ray shows tomorrow. His IV line has ceased to work today to draw blood, so they have had to resort to more heel, hand, finger, leg, toe and head pokes! Ugghhh, can't this little bug get a break somewhere????? To make a clearer explanation of his breathing "thing", it's like when you cry too hard and you breath in fast many times to just catch your breath again. The attending doc tonight said that more than likely, he is just not ready to support himself without the help of the c-pap. I have other feelings concerning this because this is the first time he's ever done this particular thing. I really don't think there are ever easy explanations to Connor's episodes and I hope we can get more to the bottom of things tomorrow.

Our hearts are saddened today for a family that we have come to love. They had to make a very difficult decision concerning their son earlier today and we are grieving with them as they say goodbye to their precious son. I will probably be able to write more tomorrow, but for today, my heart is in a very quiet place.

Lovebug Hugs,
Lori

Oh, Lori,
Our prayers are continually with you, Randy and your little bug. We are praying that the doctors get to the bottom of this and there are new answers tomorrow. Lord, help little Connor's breathing to not be so labored and Jesus be with that other family today as they are going through a most difficult time right now and be with Randy & Lori as they are grieving with this family. Jesus, we know that we know that you are in control. Lord bless these precious families.

Lori,
I am glad to hear that things are moving along at least a litlle bit. We will continue to pray with power and authority that this lung thing be resolved. It is sooo amazing to see Connor's strength and determination! He is sooo incredible and sooo cute too!

We will be praying for that family, wow........ how tough that must be. We will also pray for your strength as you reach out and minister to them. Lord, give Lori your words and thoughts to speak to this precious family as they say good bye to their little one. We do not understand all of this Lord but we know that you are in control and we have to trust in that.

Bless Randy, Connor, and Lori tonight and guard and protect their hearts and minds and continue to build up and strengthen their faith!

Love
Tammy and James

Thank the Lord for a relatively good week end for little bug. He is so strong. Still praying for wisdom for docs. At least we're hearing some positive things for your little guy.
Our hearts go out to your friends as they say good-bye to their precious son. How difficult that must be for them and for you guys as you try to be there for them. Our prayers are with you all.

Dear Lori and Randy~

Mom filled me in on Michael's situation. I cannot comprehend the anguish that the parents must be going through. I will continue to lift them up in my prayers.

And, of course, for my Little Bug, too. Oh, how I wish that he wouldn't have to labor so much for every breath. I am praying for a much better day today.

I love you all,

Auntie Heather

P.S. We are all enjoying the cute picture of your two boys with their binkis. What fun!

We are also praying for Randy's tour of duty. We will pray for a quick and safe return.

Love to you, Heather & Company

HI you guys: Just wanted to know you are in my prayers every day and also the ladies in my prayer group and ones in our Bible study. Your little bug is so cute. I pray every day for God to heal him - I feel so bad for him when he can't breathe - having had asthma for years I kind of know how it feels. We love you and believe something good will happen soon! God bless!
