Hi Everyone ~
Just a quick message to let you know that we just heard from the operating room that Connor's surgery has been cancelled. They have rescheduled it for 3pm tomorrow. As always, there must be a reason that today was not the best day for Connor to be operated on. We trust God that this is the case and tomorrow will be a better day for a successful outcome. Just before coming up to send this blog I left Connor in the very snuggly arms of Auntie Maureen and he had the cutest little episode of hiccups. He was just squeaking away and he had us all in stiches. I think this little bug is going to have a sense of humor just like his daddy. I will update more later on, but for now that's all we know. Thanks for your continued prayers and concern for our little buddy Brent. He was scheduled to start chemo last night, but it also got postponed until this morning. As of noon, they were still waiting for the treatment to begin. Continued prayers on his behalf are much coveted and appreciated by his family!!!
Lovebug hugs,
Lori

Hello Lori, This is Candy Bennett. I know you have received many words of concern and hopefully encouragement so these few words from me probably been heard by you again and again. Mike and I went through this with Ani when she was a year old. She had a brain tumor that was discovered almost too late. For us it was over and done with in 2 weeks time so I have no time reference to compare your journey with other than to say that I know the weariness in your heart, the tired bones, the endless thoughts and struggle to keep focused on the Lord and the good. When you mentioned that you had been able to get out of the hospital for a hair cut I simply smiled. Before I read another word I knew that would be difficult. My heart is with you. I daily check to see how Connor is doing but also to see how you are doing. You are constantly in my prayers. We send all our love. Candy
Hi Lori and Randy,
That hospital time again! We were scheduled to start chemo yesterday. So we were right on time: 24 hours late. He started today at 2:15 and has been peacefully sleeping for a couple hours now. I was very shocked to see that the little bug was not having surgery today. We are praying for a successful surgery and we thank God that it looks like they figured out his breathing problem. I know it has been such a burden for you to see Connor struggle like that. It's just a slight detour in his journey toward wholeness. I hope you are able to get lots of cuddling time during this delay.
blessings,
John
Lori,
So often I look at you, and you have such strength and grace in seems to be every situation. I know you don't always feel strong, but even in those times such a radiance shines bright through you! I'm sure you have many theme verses, but one I see as one of yours is:
Philippians 4:13 (Amplified Bible)
13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].
I praise the Lord for who you are and how you reflect that so beautifully. If anyone can understand the words of Paul, "When I am weak, then I am made strong" it's you. You have some strong muscles!
Tonight may you sore on the wings of eagles! I just love you, Lori!
