Another successful surgery!!!!!

Thanks for a wonderful birthday "Little bug". You and
Daddy did a great job surprising mama with a lot of love!!

Mama kissing "Little bug" goodbye as he heads off
to the operating room.

Mama with her best birthday bug!!

Mama, Grandmas & Aunties all looking at the blog!

Daddy & Connor after surgery with the scope pictures
taken while they were doing the surgery.

These two hearts represent Mama's & Daddy's hearts.
Since we cannot go into the operating room with Connor
we send our "hearts" underneath his little matress so he
knows we are there.

Mama and Grandma share today as their birthday.
Here they are blowing out their candles and wishing
for the same thing.......Connor's healing!!

Mama & Daddy in the family room of Children's Hospital
where we had a wonderful birthday celebration today.

Mama with both Grandma's!!! Boy, Mama is so blessed
to have the best "mom's" in the whole wide world!!!

Little bug wishing Mama a very happy birthday!!!!

As you can see by all these wonderful pictures, today was a full day for all of us. First of all Connor did very well in his surgery. The surgeons were quite pleased that when they went in to do the laser procedure, they decided that just a couple snips of his epiglodus (sp??) would do just fine so that lasers were not neccessary!! He came back to the ICU within an hour and a half and he was wide awake. They will keep the c-pap machine on him for at least 24 hours so that the swelling will go down in his throat and then over the next few days we should see a dramatic improvement in Connor's breathing. Praise the Lord for answered prayer!!

Today was also my birthday, along with Grandma Ruberta. Daddy did a great job at preparing Connor's room for my arrival this morning. There were birthday banners, birthday hats, presents, cards, and even a cinnamon roll with a candle in it for cake!!! Wow honey, you guys made me feel so special. Thanks for going the extra mile to find a card from Connor with little bugs on it and even little bugs on my birthday sack that was filled with Starbursts (my favorite!!)!! I'm looking forward to our night out tomorrow night!!!

My mom, Grandma RaeAnn, along with the help of Auntie Marsha coordinated a fun little luncheon and tea party for us. What fun to be together. Thank you everyone for preparing a superb celebration. Hey, whoever says you can't party at the hospital isn't part of our family!!! Everyone had a hand in helping prepare food and yummies...Thanks so much, Mom RaeAnn, Mom Ruberta, Marsha, Kathy, Maureen, Teresa, Lynette, Heather, and Aunt Sandy. Thanks also to all my special friends who sent comments, emails and phone calls today. I feel your love wrapped around me even when your arms are not present at the moment. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Connor is sleeping peacefully at the moment. He just got done with an X-ray to see how his tummy is tolerating the extra air from the c-pap. We'll have results later on tonight, but they expect everything to look really good. We continue to pray for increased strength and healing for our little bug and we also pray that Connor's breathing will be better in no time. We look forward to giving a good report on that really soon!!

Goodnight & Loveug Hugs,
Lori

Oh Lori, Randy and Connor:

I have been eagerly waiting for your birthday blog entry tonight. What a wonderful birthday for you and Ruberta today! I am so grateful to have been able to come down with Bergen Luke to be a part of your "love-ly celebration." Did you feel all of the love radiating out of your "sisters-in-heart" and two moms?

I was pure joy for me to finally be able to hold little Connor Scott for the first time since he was eleven hours old. My, he truly is a sweet little bug. And, oh, those beautiful eyelashes--to die for! What really moved me was the way his Daddy loved all over him every time he walked by. This was my first experience seeing Daddy in action. What an incredible gift he is to you and Connor, Lori!

And, Lori, you are such a beautiful, loving mother who only wants the very best for her son. I admire your strength, compassion and grace-filled life. You are JOY and an inspiration to me! I love you dearly!

Connor, I miss you so much. My heart ached as I pulled out of CH this afternoon. Oh, how I wanted to call the babysitters in Mt. Vernon and have them take care of Olivia and Brayden longer so that I could stay. I am so thankful that we could pray over Connor prior to his surgery. Praise the Lord that his procedure was so successful! I am confident that Connor's breathing will improve dramatically in the days to come.

On my way home this afternoon, I pulled off of the freeway in Everett to "bypass" so much of the congestion. I thought I would be "smart" and drive north on Broadway and head across the trestle over the Everett slough. Ha! I ended up having to wait 25 minutes for a set of tugboats pushing a large barge through the draw bridge. As I waited, Bergen Luke and I listened to Chris Rice's untitled song. I cannot recite all of the lyrics, but my prayer for Connor then and now is that he finds rest in Jesus' healing hands and that Connor will "fly to Jesus" in his rest tonight and in the healing days to come.

I am also praying that the day of discharge will quickly come when the three of you will stroll out of CH with your arms outstretched in the "Angel of Courage" pose. What sweet victory of God's ever healing presence that day will be!

I love you three so very much. Sweet dreams as you "fly to Jesus" in your sleep tonight!

Love,
Auntie Heather
(Connor's very proud and blessed auntie)

PRAISE THE LORD! YEA!!! I am so glad to hear that the surgery went well, in fact, even better than expected. God really is so good. I pray today is another GREAT day for the Robertson family. You have a great time today. Go out and have some fun. I know your heart will be with Connor every minute, but try to rest your mind and soul a bit. We keep praying and expecting more and more miracles.

Good Morning to you good morning to you we'er all in our places with bright shining faces and this is the way to start a new day.:)

Remember that little song Lori I was thinking about it this morning and especially the part where it says we'er all in our places. It's overwhelming to think of how many people are in their places praying and holding up Connor and you and Randy. Oh how thankful we are for each one from the smallest to the oldest. We are all rejoicing for the Lord's guidance yesterday for the doctor's. Today we pray the Lord continues to strengthen Connor and that his throat will feel better. Give him big loves from grandpa and grandma it was so good to be with him yesterday.:)

Good to be with you and celebrate your Birthday Lori we had so much fun being together and eating all the good things and just being thankful for family and for the love that truly binds us together. Tonight you and Randy deserve your special date and Connor in his little heart is saying, "Yea for daddy and mama"

May the Lord bless you real good today and always remember there's so many people in the right places withe bright shining faces believing and trusting the Lord for what He has planned. God knows He really does.

Lots of Love to Connor and you and Randy.
Love Dad and Mom XOXOXOXOXO

Lori,Randy and Connor.
Well Lori, I need to thank you. My son said on the last blog that Randy wrote that he gave up his cigs for you as a birthday present. See how special and influential you are!!!
I certainly hope you had a nice time last night and were able to go out for a treat at the Cheesecake Factory afterwards. I look forward to hearing what you thought. Hopefully the laughing was good for you.
I heard Connor had a little speed bump yesterday. That little bug certainly likes to keep everyone on their toes. What a sweet, precious, "complicated" boy he is. I have a pretty big crush on him. I have faith that he will be feeling better real soon. Give Randy and Connor a hug from us and then give yourself a hug from us too.
Talk with you later.
I love you all,
Maureen
